As the title suggests, this is a list of my top – five juvenile fiction/young adult novels. These few books made up my early adolescence and holds a special place in my heart. At first, I thought it was difficult to come up with my list, but as I began to think more about it I remembered all the books I had read throughout elementary and middle school. Each of these books holds a memory that I hope to never forget. Such as The Lightning Thief, this book was recommended to me by my best friend in elementary school. We bonded over each book and had a competition to see who could read the fastest. In my seventh-grade English class, we had to read The Outsiders. Although this was required, I thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the movie.
